It’s like you can never enjoy the present moment.

Do you find that you can’t stop thinking about your medical trauma and don’t know how to move on?

Maybe you find yourself struggling with intrusive thoughts and nightmares about your traumatic medical care, or perhaps you find yourself avoiding situations that involve medical care, even when it’s needed.

You may be reliving your medical team’s error or simply feel frustrated and let down by the medical field.

Perhaps your fears and thoughts of medical care cause reactions such as crying or intense anxiety, as if you are back “there” again.

FAQs

  • You will be in complete control of each ART session.

    • I will guide you to move your eyes back and forth, following a dot on your computer screen while you think about your problem.

    • Afterward, I will ask you to describe the sensations you experience after envisioning your problem alongside the eye movements. These eye movements will help reduce or eliminate distressing sensations while enhancing positive feelings.

This treatment will allow you to replace negative images with positive ones, effectively removing your triggers, helping you leave your trauma behind, and find peace. When you think about your problem, you will instead focus on the positive images. Please note that you do not need to share the details of your trauma during this treatment, as this can minimize the risk of retraumatizing you through the retelling of your experiences.

  • ART delivers quick results. If you decide to pursue therapy with me, I begin with an hour-long intake appointment to clarify what your goals are for the ART. We will also identify the images and sensations you wish to erase and replace during the session. Many clients experience resolution of their trauma in just one session; however, it may take up to five sessions for ongoing or complex issues. Additionally, clients often choose to continue having additional ART to address other past traumas, stressful life events, symptoms or habits.

  • After your first ART session, you can expect to feel significant relief from your medical trauma. Clients often report that they can still remember the situation but perceive it differently and feel completely different about it. Many leave feeling as though a weight has been lifted off their shoulders.

Following ART, you may feel inspired and motivated to improve other areas of your life. Evidence suggests that the changes you experience will be long-lasting.  You’ll also leave knowing how to address your triggers independently in the future, should they arise.

  • Reach out to me today to schedule a free 15-minute consultation.  During your consultation, you can share why you are seeking help now, and I’ll answer any questions you might have.  If you feel like we are a good fit during your consultation, we can move forward with scheduling an hour-long intake session once you have completed your initial paperwork.

Scheduling a consultation is your first step to healing.
